It’s all in the details and materiality for this Modern European guest room – from the classic moldings surrounding the window panels, the layered ceiling cornices, the satin lacquered bookshelves framing an antique mirror to the very choice of wall lamps. The white and black furnishing is also no coincidence but a deliberate homage to colonial architecture.

Our favourite piece, in this ensemble, is this custom designed coffee table. A glass encasement of a gorgeous geometric tile/fabric pattern.

This idea was birthed out of our client’s carpet allergy and his preference for walking on wood. We had to reimagine and push beyond the restrictions to re-envision prints on floor through this unique coffee table – beautiful and reflective of Modern European style and above all, functional and keeps our client happy!
